Overcoming social isolation in rural areas is not easy. Transport systems are often far and few between and therefore accessing the range of options that enable social interaction can be limited. The Village satellite project brings a door to door service using accessible vehicles which enable individuals to visit local venues to purchase a low cost meal and to take part in social activities as part of a group.
